Low Fell Shotokan Karate Club

Low Fell Shotokan Karate Club

Low Fell SKC was formed on 18th September 2006 by senior club instructor Bryan McVay with the assistance of son David McVay, Neil Ainsley and Dave Stabler.

The Dojo is based in the Wesley Memorial church hall in Low Fell, Gateshead.

Training times are:
Monday & Wednesday
6.00pm - 8.00pm

Gradings are held 3 times a year with outstanding success so far, due mainly to an emphasis on quality as opposed to quantity.

Low Fell SKC is affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB), the largest Shotokan Karate association in Great Britain.

Kids karate

The adults and children all train together at our club. Kids are welcome to come along and watch a training session to see if they are interested in joining the club, but it's also a good idea to arrange a time to come along and let them try it for themselves.

Joining the club

New members are always welcome, and beginners can start training after each club grading, roughly every four months or so. Please either call or email to get in touch and we'll let you know when the next start date for beginners will be, and we can arrange for you to come along to try karate for yourself.
